Principal's Welcome

Welcome Back Righetti Students and Parents,

I would like to welcome the incoming Class of 2029 to the Warrior Family. I want to invite all our 9th graders to attend a Freshman Orientation on Wednesday, August 6th. Students will tour the campus, receive their schedules, get their laptops and hear important information regarding life at Righetti High School.

The school calendar and bell schedules are included in the newsletter and accessible on the website. Student class schedules will be ready to access via the Aeries Portal prior to the school year starting. Be on the lookout for a ParentSquare notice when they are ready. The school will send out most announcement via ParentSquare so please make sure to sign up. Additionally, student and parent activities are added to the school master calendar, which is located on our website.

Righetti High School’s motto is “Greatness Starts Here!” The staff is committed to helping each of our students find their own version of Greatness. Our four pillars of Greatness are tied to Academic Excellence, College and Career Readiness, Social and Emotional Wellness and developing Socially Responsible Global Citizens. This can come in many forms and the more a student is involved in activities here at school, the better they perform academically. Clubs, sports, performing arts and student government are some ways to get more engaged at school. We look forward to building a partnership with our parents and multiple ways to get involved. The PTSA, School Site Council and various Booster clubs are always in need of parent volunteers. Please be on the lookout for communication regarding membership soon.

Finally, I would like to remind students and parents of the importance of regular school attendance. Being here on time and ready to learn plays a large part in overall school success. I am excited for an amazing school year. If you ever have questions or concerns, then please feel free to reach out to me @ tlyon@smjuhsd.org.

With Warrior Pride,
Ted Lyon, Jr.
